Johan Hårdén steps down from his position as CEO of Allgon – Ola Samelius to take over

Posted on September 6, 2021 at 8:16 am

The last years have been eventful for Allgon and the company has transformed from a listed conglomerate with five subsidiaries to a privately held company focusing on industrial radio remote control through its subsidiaries Tele Radio and Åkerströms. Bure Equity acquired the company through a public takeover offer at the beginning of 2021 and today controls 100% of the shares in Allgon.

The strategy to focus on industrial radio remote control and the shift from public to the private (unlisted) environment have changed the requirements on the leadership of Allgon. Under these circumstances, Johan Hårdén has, together with the Board of Directors, decided to leave his position as CEO of Allgon. Ola Samelius, deputy CEO of Allgon and CEO of Tele Radio will take over the role and responsibility for the businesses.

”We would like to thank Johan for his ambitious and vital work with Allgon during the last few years. Johan has played a significant role in developing a leading group within industrial radio remote control. We wish him all the best in the future. Ola has successfully managed Tele Radio for 17 years. We are convinced that he, with all this experience, is the right person to further develop the companies to their full potential”, says Sophie Hagströmer Chairman of the Board of Directors of Allgon.

“After six years as CEO of Allgon, I can state that the company has had excellent development. Allgon has faced many challenges during the journey to becoming a strong international player in industrial radio control. I am proud of the work done by all employees, and it would never have been possible without everyone’s tireless efforts. Thus, my mission is complete. I wish everyone good luck in the future”, says Johan Hårdén, CEO of Allgon.

”Åkerströms and Tele Radio are two well respected companies within Industrial Radio Remote Control and are strong players in the global market. Both companies have succeeded well in dealing with the impact of COVID and the international component shortage. They have so far grown above expectations this year. Future growth initiatives will be jointly planned for the companies continued expansion”, says Ola Samelius CEO Tele Radio and incoming CEO Allgon.

Johan will continue to work within the group up until October 31, 2021. In connection with Ola Samelius taking over the leadership of Allgon, the company will be moved to Gothenburg. The daily operations will continue as usual for Tele Radio and Åkerströms.
