MARINE & OFFSHORE
We help the marine sector
Tele Radio provides solutions to all areas of the marine sector. Whether you own a small private craft or a large ship we have something for you. When it comes to boat or a ship, on the rivers and deltas or out to sea there are a lot of different applications and it is very hard to cover them all but a few examples of what we provide solutions for are: gantry cranes, gangways, lights, anchors, winches, trim props and many more. As with many other areas, a remote control solution will put you right were you need to be and not anchored to where the control panel is located. Sometimes having to stay in the operators cabin could mean that you don’t have the best view of the action which can cause accidents or hamper productivity.
To give an idea of the possibilities, we have some examples of applications and their typical products below:
Electrically controlled gangways for boats and crafts is a common application that benefits greatly of remote control. Conveniently raise or lower the gangway from the docks, right when you need it.
For a ship, having the ability to turn on and off lights as you maneuver through the ship is easily accomplished with remote control. If you have a bigger ship the staff can have their own remotes making it easier for them to attend the needs of the guests.
Hazardous material dredges and cleaning dredges with hydraulics components need special remote control systems that can handle valve controls. An area that is well served by Tele Radio. A list of control points could be excavation equipment, stabilizing pontoons, auger cutters or other crane types.
Your preferences for security and functionality
To choose the transmitter best suited to your needs, it is best to consult your Tele Radio team. We provide different transmitters with specific characteristics. The following three elements are decisive for the choice:
Our transmitters are safe and many models have independent safety certification. This means that the operation of the stop button has been tested and verified by an external and independent body. We recommend choosing a system with independent safety certification if you want to minimize the risk of injury when using machinery. No security risk? Then you can choose a transmitter without certification.
Push Buttons or Joysticks
The use of buttons makes the transmitter more manageable, but certainly not less precise. A transmitter with proportional buttons, for example, has the accuracy of a joystick transmitter. Pressing the button further increases the degree of activation. A joystick transmitter is larger, but has more customization options, such as special buttons and switches.
Some transmitters can receive information from a controlled receiver. Depending on the system, information can be made visible via LEDs on the transmitter or via a display. For example, when controlling a crane, you can use the display to view information such as the weight to be lifted or alarms. This feature is less important for less complex applications, such as truck winches.
